Wikipedia is web-based & collaborative multilingual encyclopedia
This is a free, web-based and collaborative multilingual encyclopedia, created by a new project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation.
Its name means as follows words wiki (a technology creating collaborative websites, from the Hawaiian word wiki, meaning "quick" or "Fast") and
encyclopedia. Wikipedia's are vast they have 13 million articles (2.9 million in the English Wikipedia) have been written collaboratively by volunteers
around the world, and an amazing feature is
almost all of its articles can be edited by anyone who can access the Wikipedia website. Launched in January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger,

Critics of Wikipedia accuse as a systemic bias and inconsistencies as on their view, and allege that it favors consensus over credentials in its editorial
Wikipedia's reliability is also a major issue. Other criticis center on its susceptibility to vandalism and the addition of spurious or
unverified information, as they can be edited by all though scholarly work suggests that vandalism is generally short-lived.
